ICPE Mission Priests

With the Institute for World Evangelization - ICPE Mission, growing and expanding in many countries, it was a desire in the hearts of the founders Anna and Mario Cappello, to have priests who share the same spirituality and to be an integral part of the community. The vision and prayer on their hearts was to have priests who share the same call of a deep relationship with Jesus and a passion to evangelise, supporting the community in all its pastoral and liturgical requirements, traveling with mission teams to different parts of the world, and serving the Church worldwide.

Since then, priests and seminarians have become a vital part in the ICPE Mission. In 2010, with the encouragement, support and blessing of H.E. Peter Cardinal Turkson, the first ICPE missionary priest was ordained, and in the following years, two more priests, having completed their studies at the Pontifical Urbaniana University in Rome, became part of the fraternity.

The ICPE priests follow the spirituality of the community which is Ignatian and Charismatic while responding radically to the call of evangelisation: “To know Christ and to make Him known”, leading people to a personal encounter with Jesus through the sacraments, retreats, recollections, counselling, formation programs, seminars and more.

In September 2014, taking a big step forward, the first ICPE Priests Formation House was established in Wellington, New Zealand, with the support and blessing of H.E. John Cardinal Dew. In August 2015, with the permission of H.E. Charles. J. Scicluna, Archbishop of Malta, the ICPE Seminary was established in Malta where at present, priests and seminarians are going through their further studies and seminary formation, respectively.
