ICPE Mission India

JEEVAN DAAN is the name of the India ICPE Mission community which in Hindi (India's national language) means "Gift of Life". It is situated in Richmond Town, Bangalore, in the south of the country. The community operates from a private residence, with the hope of a more appropriate centre in the future.

The ICPE Mission India was officially opened in 1999, the fulfilment of a vision that had long been in the hearts of Fritz and Diana Mascarenhas, who had served with the ICPE mission for ten years in Malta and the Philippines before returning to India.

The life of the ICPE community in Bangalore combines evangelistic zeal with a deep commitment to prayer. In addition to evangelistic programmes in various parts of India, the Mission Centre regularly offers Evangelisation Courses.

It is also the home base for SetFree - a ministry endeavouring to bring wholeness and healing to the broken through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Every week the ICPE community ministers in the local area through:

  • the vernacular ministry
a ministry reaching out to local prayergroups around Bangalore in their own local dialects by providing teachings, leadership and pastoral care
  • prison outreaches
presenting teaching and preaching in a local prison where normally 120 inmates attend the meetings
  • youth ministry
helping youth in their walk of discipleship through regular Praise and Worship, teaching, mentoring and sharing of life
  • parish activities
Childrens ministry and preparation of youth for confirmation in various parishes of Bangalore
  • Other ministries...
including a weekly hospital ministry, ministry to Couples, montly Woman to Woman meetings and outreaches to schools, colleges and parishes.
